(IntegrityTimes.com) – Since the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack against Israel, alleged pro-Palestinian Americans have held protests all across the country to urge Democratic lawmakers and President Biden to demand that Israel cease its retaliation efforts in Gaza.
Several groups scheduled a “worldwide economic blockade” protest named A15. At around 8 a.m. on April 15, protestors blocked every lane on I-190 leading into Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Some travelers got out and walked to the airport entrance. Police were able to clear the protestors from the road by 9:15 a.m., but some passengers missed their flights due to the disruption. One woman named Lorenna Lerohl missed her flight to Panama and was rebooked but said that she would now have to spend “seven hours in an airport with an infant.”
Protestors then blocked one side of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, but police were forced to shut down the entire bridge for almost four hours after angry drivers were pursuing the protestors. One man was filmed telling the masked protestors to get out of the road as they aggressively surrounded him and screamed in his face. Some of the protestors chained themselves together but were also seen fighting amongst themselves. Later in the afternoon, protestors shut down the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. NYPD police officers immediately began making arrests and cleared the bridge. A large group of protestors then began their incessant chants of “Free, free, free Palestine” after boarding the subway.
Protestors attempted to shut down the flow of traffic in downtown Tampa, Florida but were cleared and ticketed within 15 minutes. In the late afternoon, protestors blocked traffic into the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, prompting travelers to walk to the entrance. Police arrested 46 people, but they all posted bail and were released from custody. However, prosecutors filed charges the next day for disorderly conduct and failure to disperse. Several users on X, formerly Twitter, asked when these protestors would be deemed terrorists for disrupting the daily lives of innocent American citizens.
