Cori Bush’s Campaign Grapples with Legal Fees

(IntegrityTimes.com) – The struggle is real for far-left radical progressive Representative Cori Bush, D-Mo., who is reportedly spending most of her reelection campaign funds on legal fees.

Bush is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice for potential campaign finance violations related to payments made to her personal security guard turned husband. According to recent campaign finance records, Bush paid almost $100,000 for attorney fees in the first three months of the year. Her campaign is $91,000 in debt and has just $528,000 in its coffers. Her campaign also reported that she is still paying her husband $5,000 a month, which it classified as a “wage expense.”

Bush’s primary opponent, Democrat Wesley Bell, reportedly has no debt and over $1.1 million in campaign cash. Bell is the current prosecuting attorney for St. Louis County and was running for the United States Senate, but dropped out to challenge Bush after she expressed pro-Palestinian views following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attack against Israel. Bell has outraised Bush by $170,000 since he launched his campaign in November last year. According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, pro-Israel lobbying groups are planning to spend millions to defeat Bush and other far-left Democrats who are unsupportive of Israel.

Back in February, Bell told The Hill that his campaign had received endorsements from several local leaders and community members. Bush has maintained a radical stance on nearly every issue brought before Congress. She is an ardent supporter of defunding the police and sees no issue in having her own personal security while advocating for fewer police in the streets of her district.

Another far-left radical, Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., is also at risk of losing his seat to Westchester County Executive George Latimer. He is also campaigning on Bowman’s extreme views regarding Israel and other issues. He recently promised that he would bring moderate Democrat values with him to Congress.
