From Ghost Guns to Zombie Guns: The Left Has Gone Too Far

(IntegrityTimes.com) – Far-left radical progressive Representative Maxwell Frost, D-Fla., received a slew of online backlash after posting about a “Zombie Gun Loophole” in a post on X, formerly Twitter. The freshman congressman shared a video of a media report of his new legislation proposal that targets the so-called “zombie guns.” The legislation is called the Destroy Zombie Guns Act and would stop companies from reselling broken-down parts of guns that were either seized by law enforcement or turned in during gun buyback events.

Frost and other Democratic lawmakers held a press conference outside of the Capitol to talk about the legislation, which has 22 co-sponsors. Supporters stood next to the lawmakers holding signs that said, “Gun violence is the leading cause of death for our kids,” although that is a misleading claim. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) lists the leading cause of death for children as accidents, but gun-control activists fudge the statistics to include 18 and 19-year-old adults. Additionally, most gun deaths involving children are gang-related or the result of other types of criminal activity.

The alleged loophole includes parts of guns that are unregulated and not considered to be firearms by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Sights, buttstocks, grips, etc., are already sold separately or in kits, but Frost and other Democrats believe that closing this alleged loophole will result in the reduction of deaths. Unsurprisingly, nothing was said during the press conference or the announcement of the legislation that placed the blame on the perpetrators for breaking the law and killing innocent people with their weapon of choice.

Democrats have ramped up their talks of gun regulation in recent weeks to coincide with the beginning of the 2024 election cycle. The Biden administration has vowed to pass another assault weapons ban and Democratic states across the country are continuously passing new laws that restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens.
