Latest Filing: Ashley Biden Resolves Tax Liability

( – First Daughter Ashley Biden is in the clear after finally paying taxes she owed to the state of Pennsylvania in 2015 and 2021. Back in December, the Philadelphia County office of the Department of Revenue sent Ashley Biden a notice to inform her of a lien that was placed against her property for failing to pay $5,000 owed to the state. Fox News broke the story with information from Marco Polo’s Garrett Ziegler, drawing attention to the second child of President Biden with tax problems. Ziegler has spent years combing through the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop, which sparked his interest in Ashley Biden. The Department of Revenue updated the docket on January 3, noting that the notification of the lien “should be removed from the court records.”

Ashley Biden is a social worker who spent five years working for the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families in the state of Delaware, departing in 2012. She attended graduate school to further her social work education and received a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. She went on to work for a nonprofit called the Delaware Center for Justice from 2014 to 2019. She also launched a fashion company called Livelihood, partnering with an online retailer to fund community programs that worked to eliminate income inequality. After leaving the Center for Justice, she went to work for Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

Fox News reached out to Ziegler for comment after the tax bill was paid. He told the outlet that Marco Polo was delighted to hear that Ashley Biden resolved the issue but noted that her husband and others in her life “should have done a better job” of assisting her with her finances. Ashley Biden’s husband, Howard Krein, is a prominent ear, nose, throat, and plastic surgeon. The couple has been married since 2012, three years before she neglected to pay her taxes.
