European Royalty Affiliate Attilio Brillembourg Reported Missing in California

(IntegrityTimes.com) – A man linked to European royalty has been reported missing in California, according to police.

Attilio Brillembourg III, 53, was last seen in an affluent neighborhood near Escondido Falls, Malibu at roughly 1:10 A.M. on May 18. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office launched a search for the man with links to Greek royalty. The missing persons alert described Brillembourg as a 5’ 10” tall white man weighing 165 pounds. The man has green eyes, gray hair and a tattoo on his thigh. Brillembourg was last seen without shoes wearing gray pants and a blue shirt. The sheriff’s department stated that there was concern about the man’s wellbeing.

Brillembourg’s father is Attilio Brillembourg II, the former stepfather of Princess Tatiana, who is a member of the Danish royal family and non-reigning Greek royal family. The older Brillembourg accompanied Tatiana at her wedding to Prince Nikolaos of Greece in 2010. Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana announced their divorce in April 2024 following 13 years of marriage. The Greek Royal Family released a statement supporting the couple and promising to support them in their “transition” into a “strong friendship”. Princess Tatiana, whose full name is Tatiana Blatnik, will retail her royal title. The princess is a known author, entrepreneur and philanthropist. The younger Brillembourg, who is from New York, was once linked to Kiera Chaplin, the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin. Brillembourg maintained a fairly private lifestyle, but was photographed with his then-girlfriend Kiera when shopping on the Italian island of Capri in 2009.

Brillembourg was last spotted on Murphy Way, in a particularly rural area with steep hillsides that lacks streetlights. Anyone with knowledge of Brillembourg’s whereabouts is being asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The case is being handled by the department’s homicide bureau, though this is not necessarily indicative of foul play. Further details regarding the circumstances of Brillembourg’s disappearance have not been released.
